How do I generate more leads from my company blog?

Since its inception, blogging has actually become one of the most effective ways to boost your business. In fact, HubSpot reports that “marketers who prioritize blogging are 13x more likely to enjoy positive ROI.”

To that end, content marketing has become a critical part of any business’ marketing efforts; and blogging should do more than just populate your website with content. Your approach should be more strategic and thoughtful. This gives you the ability to maximize your opportunity to educate and inform customers about your product or service.

Here are some ways that you can generate more leads from your company blog:

1. Be sure to add a call-to-action

You want your readers to take positive action after they’ve finished reading your blog. So, don’t end your blog post abruptly. Make sure to tell them what you want them to do. Do you want readers to subscribe to your blog, to sign up for a newsletter, or maybe to get in touch with you? Ask them to do so. Your call-to-action is the easiest and most straightforward way you can compel your readers to take action.

2. Write about topics that are relevant to your audience

Converting more visitors on your blog means you need to do a little bit of research on what interests them. Explore different platforms that can help you discover new topics such as content research tools or keyword research tools. Facebook groups relating to your industry, service, or product can also provide more insight into the topics that are relevant to your target audience.

3. Create incentives to maximize visitor engagement

A great and effective way to generate leads is by offering your blog readers additional incentives for providing more information. For example, if you want them to sign up for something by providing their email address, offer exclusive content in exchange for it.

This strategy has been known to convert at incredibly high rates. Additionally, your supplementary content, incentive, or freebie should be related to your business or service so that they are more likely to opt in.

Some great incentives to give out are checklists, templates, white papers, exclusive reports, or workbooks.

4. Offer multiple options

This strategy is particularly useful if you’re trying to build your subscription base. Of course, the best way to convert organic visitors is to ensure that you’re producing quality, readable, and relevant content. However, to make it easier for them to subscribe to your blog, be sure to offer numerous ways for them to subscribe to your content. Perhaps add an RSS feed link, or a button to subscribe for emailers, and feature multiple social media platforms–and make it very visible at the very end of your post.

5. Engage and respond to your readers

Engaged readers are more likely to convert, which is why it’s important to address any concern, question, or comment that they may have about your post. If they leave a message on your post, be sure to thank them for their input. If they have a critique about it, acknowledge it and explore how you can improve it moving forward.

This is, of course, not an exhaustive list, but we’re confident these tips can help you drive more conversions from your blog. If you think you need more help though, feel free to get in touch with us at LeadsPanda
