How many content marketing tools do you use?
That’s a great question. We always talk about the different strategies and skills that should drive successful content marketing campaigns. However, we rarely look into the tools and technology that help us do our jobs faster, easier, and more efficiently.
So, to answer your question, I’ve rounded up some of the top marketing tools that I use. At any given time, I use this combination of six tools.
1. WordPress
WordPress is the most popular and widely used CMS in the world. In fact, around 37.5%% of all websites are powered by WordPress. It makes the whole process of maintaining and updating my website simple. By adding plugins, you can easily add more functionality to your site. It’s a highly customizable open-source platform that you can tailor specifically to your needs.
2. Google Docs
You don’t realize just how much you rely on Google Docs until you aren’t able to access a centralized repository of all your important documents. When all your spreadsheets, document drafts, and presentations are accessible online, with the ability for multiple people to work on them in real-time, it really ramps up your team’s collaboration game. Google Docs is free to use, so make the most out of it.
3. Trello
My team and I rely on Trello to keep track of all our to-dos and ensure everyone is able to see where we currently are with each piece of content at a glance. It’s a great way to visualize what’s on your team’s plate and manage everyone’s tasks with a simple, user-friendly interface.
4. Slack
Communication is the backbone of my company. For my team and myself, a reliable way to stay in touch is essential to our operations. Our teamwork and collaboration is dependent on the tools that we use to coordinate with each other. By far, Slack has proven to be the most useful and reliable way to stay in touch with team members from all over the world.
5. Grammarly
Grammarly was a game-changer for me. Earlier on, I was in charge of running the business and producing content for Leadspanda. As a result, there were multiple instances where I found myself rushing through drafts and making small, but common, content mistakes such as typos. Grammarly is a simple way for me to make sure that any content I publish is free of grammar and spelling mistakes. It helps me cut down my error rate by at least half.
6. Buzzsumo
I’m a big fan of Buzzsumo for a lot of reasons. It’s a great way to keep track of trending news. It’s a simple way to keep an eye on what my competitors are doing. It’s a great platform to use to research content topics. You can even track important metrics such as social shares, backlinks, influencer reports, and what kind of content is getting the most shares.
There you have it—my go-to content marketing tools I use every day. If you want to know more, feel free to reach out to me via Leadspanda.
