What is the role of content marketing tools in business growth?

According to the Content Marketing Institute (CMI), 91% of marketers in the B2B field are using content marketing, while 86% of marketers in the B2C field consider content marketing to be a critical strategy. These statistics demonstrate just how competitive the content marketing industry has become. To keep up, I have to rely on content marketing tools to make my job easier and I suggest you consider using them as well.

Here are some of their uses and benefits, for example:

1. They Make Content Marketing Faster

There are a lot of aspects of content marketing that are tedious and time-consuming. For example, content scheduling may seem like a simple and straightforward task, but you’d be surprised at how much time this can take out of your day. To help save time and make sure I do things more efficiently, I use the content scheduling tool Buffer.

BuzzSumo is another tool that has proven to be useful for research. It can help me find trending articles, engaging content from competitor sites, and high-quality posts that I can use to guide my own content. The great thing about BuzzSumo is that it simplifies the research process down to a few clicks. If you happen to have a client in a niche space, or your business operates in a very specific sector, this tool makes it much easier for you to find what others in your field are doing.

2. They Prevent Mistakes and Ensure Accuracy

Content marketing tools allow me to automate key tasks that could otherwise be prone to errors and mistakes. Automated scheduling tools ensure that I don’t miss posting dates and that I am able to stick to a consistent schedule that builds on previous content.

3. They Help You Keep Organized and Facilitate Better Team Collaboration

There are a lot of organizational tools that allow me to organize tasks and coordinate collaboration between myself and my team members. For example, Trello is a visual platform that maps out your entire team’s to-do list so there’s better transparency and communication between team members. You know what everyone is currently doing, what tasks have been completed, and what items are pending. Google Sheets and Documents ensure everyone has access to their tasks and minimize versioning issues, ensuring better team collaboration.

4. They Allow You to Track and Monitor Analytics

You can’t improve what you can’t measure. Analytics tools gather critical insights and data that allow you to understand how well your strategies are doing so you can continuously improve. I regularly track and monitor the numbers behind all my efforts, which I couldn’t do without analytics tools. I can easily gather critical reports and base my decisions on how to move forward on real-time data.
