Which is the most overlooked content marketing tool?

Interesting question—and quite a tough one to answer. With all my years in content marketing, I’ve realized that it might not necessarily be a matter of what tools are effective—it’s more of whether you’re using the right one for you.

With a bit of trial and error, you’re sure to find what tools work for your unique needs. But to help you whittle your list down and answer your question, give these overlooked content marketing tools a try:

1. Mention

Mention is a social media management tool that updates you on all your social media mentions in real time. This makes it so easy to engage with your audience and maintain their focus. It can monitor billions of sources in almost every language, as well.

This platform also lets you connect all your profiles on a single dashboard, making it so much easier to jump from one site to another. And of course, you can easily track and analyze performance through its built-in metrics.

2. Cayzu

No matter what industry you’re in, a strong customer service experience will help you build brand loyalty and win customers. Resolving any issues that arise is part of your overall content marketing responsibilities and is an integral part of building trust among your audience. This is where Cayzu comes in—it notifies you when a customer mentions you via Twitter or Facebook. This allows you to reach out immediately and address their concern.

3. Stencil

Visuals are a very important part of content marketing. However, sometimes, you just don’t have the time or the graphic design talent to maximize this aspect of your content marketing efforts. This is where Stencil comes in. Stencil makes designing eye-catching visuals simple. It doesn’t matter if you have no design skills. This tool can help you create images that can help boost your numbers.

4. Pixabay

Speaking of visuals, using high quality and relevant images is just as important. If you don’t have the budget to do an actual photo shoot or to pay for licensed stock images, Pixabay is the way to go. The site offers over 720,000 free stock photos and videos you can use to create more impactful content marketing materials.

5. SlideShare

Repurposing content is something content marketers do to keep their material up to date and interesting. SlideShare is a great way to do that. Simply take your old blog posts and quickly create high-quality, in-depth presentations you can easily share via social media in an engaging new format.

Plus, SlideShare is also a functioning social network that lets users add comments or share posts once you add content.

There you have it. Hope my answer helps! Leave a comment below if you have any questions and I’d be happy to get back to you. Or feel free to join the conversation on our Twitter or LinkedIn.
