Which is the best social media tool?
As much as I’d love to give you a straight answer, it would be impossible for me to name the single best social media tool.
Social media covers so many diverse tasks, from data-based activities to analytics, to writing copy and designing visuals. It can be difficult to find just one tool to execute a perfect social media strategy. More often than not, you will need a suite of different tools to help you manage your social media effectively.
So, to answer your question, I’d like to focus instead on the elements that make a social media tool a good one.
1. It helps you save time
As fun as social media is, it can be time-consuming. You’re creating editorials, writing copy, designing graphics, scheduling posts, engaging with audiences, and tracking metrics. Therefore, a good social media tool should help you with all of these. Whether it does so by automating key processes or by simplifying your next steps, such tools are meant to save you time.
2. It should help you boost brand awareness
The tools you use for social media should help you increase your brand awareness. Whether it’s a visual editing tool that helps you improve your images and ensure a consistent look; a social media scheduling tool that lets you post regularly across all your platforms; or an analytics tool that lets you track and improve your social media efforts, it should contribute to your brand awareness.
3. It should be easy to use
Social media tools are only helpful and effective if they are easy to use. They have to be simple, straightforward, and intuitive. Everyone on your team should be able to jump in and use the tools if needed.
4. It should be affordable
Social media tools should definitely be affordable. Fortunately, most of them are. Most are available for free for a certain number of accounts or users and just offer in-app purchases. That said, if you need to upgrade and go for a paid version, make sure you’re choosing one that is budget-friendly and well worth the financial investment you’re making.
5. It should help you organize your social media efforts
Social media tools are meant to streamline social media tasks and save you time by keeping you organized. This means that any tool you use should have dashboards that make it easier for you to post and publish your social media.
There are a lot of social media tools that meet all these requirements, but each one will focus on different aspects of social media. So, choose your tools wisely. If you want to share tools that you think meet these requirements to everyone following this question, leave your suggestions in the comment section below.
