What type of content marketing is most effective?

When it comes to developing your content marketing, it can be hard to determine what strategy will work best for your business. Despite the constantly evolving nature of content marketing, there are some tried and tested tools that continue to demonstrate its effectiveness. Below are some of the top ones I use for my business:

1. Blogs

Blogs, in my opinion, should be a content marketing constant. It’s one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to improve SEO and drive organic traffic to your website. It’s also a proven effective way to inform your audience and boost engagement. This allows you to build a better rapport with your audience and establish loyalty within your readers.

To maximize the potential of blogs for your content marketing, be sure to start by doing thorough keyword research. This gives you insight into what your consumers are actually searching for and what topics would best engage them.

2. Videos

To stay competitive in today’s digital marketplace, you have to maximize more dynamic media to capture your audience’s attention and engage them quickly. Videos are one such option, especially since in the US alone, 85% of internet users regularly watch online video content on their devices.

With video, you can help increase brand awareness and even boost time spent on your site. Remember, the more time your customers spend on your website, the higher the chances of you converting your visitors. Additionally, videos can also help increase social shares and help customers make more informed purchasing decisions.

3. Infographics

Infographics are a helpful and engaging way content marketers can educate their audience through compelling, visual material-—thus allowing your brand to deliver high-value content.

Presenting key information about a certain topic or subject visually means you have an opportunity to explain complex topics and highlight the value of what your business can provide.

4. Case Studies

Case studies are essentially customer stories that show how your company was able to help businesses you’ve worked with and highlight ways your company can help other companies achieve their business goals. This helps build trust with your users as well as develop your reputation and authority to help increase conversion.

5. Social Media Posts

Social media is a great way for businesses to generate awareness about their brand, engage potential leads, and increase industry authority. It’s also one of the most cost-efficient ways businesses can achieve their content marketing goals. A simple post on social media can boost your site’s search engine ranking, drive more people to your blog, raise your conversion rate, and even highlight and draw more attention to important posts.

While there are definitely more content marketing strategies you can try, these five have proven to be simple and effective. If you want to learn more, feel free to join the conversation on our Twitter and LinkedIn, or leave a comment below.
