How do I generate leads through a video?
Apparently, 2019 is going to be the year that video reigns king. In fact, a study conducted by Cisco (as reported by Forbes and Inc.) reports that over 80% of all Internet traffic will be video.
So, if you haven’t already been using video in your content marketing, now is the best time to start. Here are some tips for generating more leads through a video:
1. Add a barrier to emphasize value and boost engagement
It takes time to create and produce good video content. To that end, it makes sense for you to emphasize the value behind it so you can boost your chances of engaging your audience. Adding a minimal barrier before your audience is able to access your video is a great way to do that. A short sign-up form lets you collect important data from prospects and leads as well.
2. Add a call to action (CTA) to your videos
Make it easy for your audience to move into the next stage of your conversion funnel by spelling out what they should do next. Attention spans are inherently short, so while you still have their attention, make sure you give them something specific to do.
Do you want them to sign up? Follow your link? Subscribe to your channel? Get in touch? Let them know.
3. Add a video in your landing page
Videos are great at engaging audiences. They increase the length of time people stay on your page, which means you have more opportunity to let your message sink in. This is especially useful for landing pages. You’re able to provide maximum information for minimum effort. In fact, including video on your landing page can help boost conversion by 80%.
4. Use your live video feature
For small businesses, it’s hard to carve out the time and set aside the budget to create a professionally edited video. That doesn’t mean you still can’t leverage all the benefits of video marketing. Technology today lets you shoot and stream live videos in real-time from your phone. A staple in most social media platforms, this feature allows you to engage audiences better and possibly move them down your conversion funnel.
5. Share your video on the right channels
OK, to be clear—there is no specific or correct formula for this. It will largely depend on who the bulk of your audience is and what social media platforms they frequent. There are some guidelines that you can keep in mind.
For example, always make sure you upload your video on the largest video sharing platform today—YouTube. Optimize the video by adding a great, catchy title with a clear CTA.
Once it’s up on YouTube, use the link and share it on Facebook to push additional traffic. If you have Twitter and Instagram, these are also great platforms for video sharing.
I think that’s about it. If you have more to add to this, please feel free to comment below and build up this list. Always happy to hear more ideas that we can try to implement. If you have any questions, just get in touch with me via Leadspanda and I’ll be happy to keep this conversation going.
