What are some must read marketing blogs?

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of marketing blogs out there. Some are good, others are great–and then there are those few that deserve to be bookmarked so you can regularly check and read their insightful thoughts and tips.

Because I’ve been doing this for a while, I’ve done my fair share of reading. To that end, I thought I’d share some of my favorite, must-read blogs:

1. Moz

I love Moz particularly because their blog posts are written in a way that’s easy to understand and apply. Moz’s team are experts in their field and their posts show it. They understand how online marketing and SEO works simply because they do it every day. Best of all, they know how to explain it such a way that complicated topics are communicated in a simple, understandable, and actionable format.

2. Unbounce

Unbounce is a blog that’s best known for being a marketing resource specific to landing pages and conversion optimization. While it’s not exactly the simplest in terms of composition, Unbounce offers in-depth posts tackling topics such as scientifically proven tips and best-practices that you can apply to your landing pages.

3. Copyblogger

Copyblogger is more specific to content marketing copywriting. In terms of topics, you get the best tips, guides, and even strategies on how you can best approach your content. They also manage to create content that’s easy to understand, making it very easy to actually hone and develop your writing skills.

4. QuickSprout

QuickSprout is a blog run by the famed marketing expert Neil Patel who offers in-depth and comprehensive posts on everything related to digital marketing. He does focus a lot on traffic generation though, which is very useful for newbies seeking to build their web traffic. Neil Patel is also great at crafting content that balances information for both new marketers and more experienced ones. This makes QuickSprout a great resource for anyone, regardless of how much experience they have in marketing.

5. HubSpot

Be warned, HubSpot isn’t the simplest blog to follow, especially if you’re new to inbound marketing. You’ll likely encounter a lot of jargon, and industry specific marketing terms; but if you have a basic grasp of the business, this blog is a great resource. You’ll find a great collection of blog posts supplemented by data-driven research, in-depth case studies, templates, guides, a comprehensive lists of resource people, and everything else related to inbound marketing.

6. Content Marketing Institute (CMI)

The thing I love about CMI is that you can expect new content on content marketing and copywriting every day. CMI is my go-to resource for the most up to date marketing news and trends simply because they are very consistent about updating their site. You’ll find guides and templates, news, and events related to content marketing and content development.

7. Get Response

Get Response is an email marketing platform, but their blog happens to be one of the best in the market that tackles topics like online marketing, productivity, automation, and email marketing.

There you have it. My top 7 list of go-to marketing blogs. Feel free to add to this list if you have more to share. And if you have some time, you can try checking out our blog at Leadspanda and tell me what you think.
